Ask a new question. I’m trying to install offie professional plus on a windows 10 machine and keep getting the same issue. Running the Microsoft cleaning tool to make sure all traces of any other office files are aan. After trying all the above I rebooted the machine aetup per any instructions I was following, but nothing seems to work. Have you tried turning Off your antivirus and firewall.

Its only if you were using a third party anti-virus, encountfred you might have to downliad, the default win 10 utility would have no impact, and anyway if you clean booted windlws third party AV would have been disabled. K Raleigh. I am at my wits end with this one and need help. I’ve tried all the following in various orders, following any instructions I could find : 1. Deleting the Microsoft Help folder 2. Renaming the Micrisoft Help folder as “Microsoft Help. OLD” when deleting had no effect. Checked that the task scheduler is operational.
Tried an installation in a clean boot mode. Manually download windows 10 toolkit Office Trying bit and bit installations.

To try to remedy the infuriating omission of Office Picture Manager I followed your instructions as above. I downloaded SharePointDesigner successfully, but when I tried to run it I got an error message telling me that it had stopped working. When I try to uninstall it to start over I get the same message.
Now what do I do? Did you verify you had the correct version? Firstly thank you for this. So you just see an install button but no customize button? Did you continue on with the installer? Shall I try Install? Okay — this works.
I downloaded MS SharePoint Designer There was no MS Office Picture Manager on offer but if I remember correctly I chose MS SharePoint Designer again, and then I installed it. A helpful tip: If you click on e. a jpg file in Windows 8 it opens your pic in the dreaded Windows Photo Viewer.
Then you can do cropping etc. like in the good old XP days! Thanks for all the posts. I have Windows 8. Error I just bought this machine and transferred contents with laplink. Old machine windows 7, which I had successfully loaded the sharepoint windows manager and was using. Although more time consuming, I find it is always more reliable to just start with a clean install of the OS and all programs.
I recommend backing up all of your important files, formatting you HD, and then installing 8. Once this is done then install all of your programs fresh on 8. Hope this helps.
YOU ROCK!!! I changed computers at work and lost my OPM. I was distressed, until I found your step by step instructions. Now, OPM and I are reunited — and it feels so good! This did work and I got Picture Manager back. However, I also got Windows 7 finding and trying to install upgrades of Office Thanks for you help. Well you can hide the updates in Windows Update and they will be ignored. I would probably just let them install though.

I can install the Picture Manager, but the functionality is limited. If you have 20 pictures and want to send them to Word or Power Point MS Office , it will not work, you will get an error say I do not have MS Office installed. I have MSOffice , but it is not compatible. At this point it is completely useless. I do not understand why people jumping up and down being able to install this program when you cannot use the real functions.
Cropping an image you can do with anything this days, you do not need Picture Manager. Picture Manager has some other powerful functions that are locked. Micro Soft know what they know and I believe are rely smart on this move, they are on something here by removing Picture Manager. This is serious dree me as I cannot work. More help is greatly appreciated. Side note: I went back a couple days for a roll back. It brought back my MS programs, but everytime I opened a doc it kept trying to re-install and then did nothing.
